TETHEROW GOLF CLUB
OREGON'S BEST NEW COURSE IS THE TETHEROW GOLF CLUB
By Ken Liebeskind
The Tetherow Golf Club in Bend, OR, named Best New Course You Can Play by Golf Magazine in 2009, is a David McLay Kidd links style course that brings a touch of Scotland to Oregon's high desert. The course is framed by ragged bunkers, knobs and knolls surrounded by panoramic views of Oregon's high desert and the central Cascade Mountains. The Tetherow Golf Club's par 72 7,298 yard course features wide fescue grass fairways spotted by pot bunkers with severe changes in elevation and topography.
The highlights of the Tetherow Golf Club course include the 6th, a 424 yard par 4 risk and reward hole, where you must decide whether to play the hole safe down the right or shorten it by hitting to the left side of the fairway that brings the lake into play.

The 9th is a sweeping 532 yard par 5 with a green framed by a large lava rock wall. The 11th is a 466 par 4 dogleg right that plays downhill into a canyon with a huge sideboard on the left and grassy knobs just short of the l-shaped green.
As you can see, there's plenty of formidable golf at the Tetherow Golf Club. If you'd like to be prepared for the long driving holes, check out the Controller 460cc driver from www.scientificgolfclubs.com. The site that specializes in scientifically designed clubs offers the most powerful driver in golf, its max size head coated with an armor-piercing metal once used in military missiles that adds even more distance to your drives. A long distance champ said the Controller 460cc driver is the best one he's used in more than 20 years of hitting monster drives and average golfers report 20 to 40 yard increases over their current drivers.
The long holes at the Tetherow Golf Club will still be challenging by the desert landscape, but you've got the distance covered with the Controller 460cc driver, which comes with a graphite shaft so it's easy to swing.
